  • SOCAV partner in a new EU-project

    [19 Sep 2016] Bengt Larsson is a research partner in the research project SPEEED, Social Partner Engagement and Effectiveness in the European Social Dialogue, which runs 2016-2018. The project is funded by the European Commission (DG Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion), and is led by Dr. Barbara Bechter, Durham University. The project aims to identify factors that determine the effectiveness of the 43 social sectoral dialogues between employer and employee in the EU-28, and, through an in-depth study of health care and metal sectors, study what creates barriers and commitment social dialogue.   • New centre at the University of Gothenburg gathers research on human resource management

    [29 Jan 2014] Swedish companies have more employees in foreign countries than in Sweden, and an increasing share of them are part of global business groups. Also, the public sector is increasingly involved in international collaborations. How should companies and human resources be managed in an increasingly globalised world? The new Centre for Global Human Resource Management aims to strengthen Swedish research in this area. The Centre is operated jointly by the Department of Sociology and Work Science and the Department of Business Administration at the University of Gothenburg.
