Feminist Research

The research group examines issues of power relationships, exploitation and social change in relation to sex/gender as well as sexuality, racification and social class. Examples of research in progress within the group are occupational status and gender; the sociology of the family; gender and homelessness; queer activism; gender and criminality/victimhood; feminist existential sociology; gender and education; masculinity studies; and gender equality.

The feminist seminar series is an interdisciplinary forum for Swedish and foreign feminist researchers at which scholars explore and discuss gender issues related to research, teaching and the academic setting.
