Allmänt seminarium: Transforming Subjectivities, Kerstin Jacobsson and Cecilia Hansen Löfstrand.

Research profile seminar

"Transforming Subjectivities" is the possible title of an edited volume and a term for a conceptual framework for a particular type of empirically based analysis of how different types of governance practices are received, among governed subjects (for example, clients, patients and/or employees). Whether subjects are easily 'remoulded' or not, and how they adapt or offer resistance are considered empirical questions, which can be answered by an analysis of qualitative - and often, but not exclusively, ethnographic - empirical materials. To this seminar Kerstin Jacobsson and Cecilia Hansen Löfstrand invite all of you who are interested in Transforming Subjectivities as an analytical idea and empirical field, and wish to participate in our planned book. At the seminar, Jacobsson and Hansen Löfstrand present a brief idea paper, a sketch for an analytical framework. At a later stage, soon after the seminar, participants will be asked to submit an abstract (there will also be an open call).
